Every year a lot of people ask us about gluten free king cakes. It’s not surprising, many people these days are avoiding gluten for a variety of reasons and who wants to skip a delicious treat like king cake? A few years ago it was almost impossible to find a gluten free king cake, but now days there are a few places in the Greater New Orleans area that offer them.

Notes:

We are only reporting places that say they offer gluten free king cakes. Please check with the individual bakery to determine if their kitchen standards are acceptable to you.

Gluten free and vegan king cakes are high demand items. Please plan to order in advance and do not expect to get your king cake day-of. Communicate with the baker about how to pay and order your treat so you can have it the day you need/want it.

  4. I’m originally born and raised in Louisiana. I ordered a King Cake every year from Ambrosia’s in Baton Rouge. My daughter was recently diagnosed with Celiac Disease, and I have been looking to buy a gluten free king cake but I don’t trust local bakeries. I have had gluten king cakes made locally in NC and they are terrible! Do you know if any of these places will ship it to North Carolina?? Thanks in advance!!
