Great Places for Kid Haircuts on the Northshore

When my family moved to the Northshore, I knew we needed to find new doctors, the location of the nearest local library, and neighborhood restaurants that were friendly to our young and often boisterous family. We recently ran into a new “new” that we needed – a salon or barber shop that offered kid friendly haircuts.

Having a preteen daughter whose eyes well up if they snip more than an inch of her locks, as well as a tantrum-ridden toddler who can’t sit still for ice cream let alone a haircut, I knew this would require even more research than our other new needs.

So I cast a net and caught some local recommendations from Facebook friends and colleagues. I hope this compilation helps you in your quest for convenient, cost-conscious, kid-friendly cuts.

Ms. Rhonda is very patient and takes the time to get him (my 3 year old) comfortable before even starting.  And when the drama starts, she’s not intimidated…she has fun toys and a tv in her shop too.

She is the best!  Toys to entertain them, snacks for them to enjoy, prizes at the end.  Very reasonable prices. Can’t recommend her enough!

My 11 year old says she loves Victoria, because she talks about fun stuff the whole time she cuts her hair. I love Victoria, because she makes suggestions and cuts exactly how we discussed. No, surprises. She also gave my daughter tips on how to tame her flyaways and treated her like a client, not a kid. Studio 915 Salon is a stylish salon and my girls feel like they are getting the full salon experience.
