Indy Teen Club. 4PM. Independence Library. Play games, create art, and enjoy complimentary snacks. 

Checkmate Chess Club. 4-5PM. Amite Library. Teen program: Learn the basics or practice your mastery of chess.

Bingo. 6:30PM Abita Springs Town Hall. All ages welcome. Six and under need not play. Children 6-12 must play at least a 6/10 pack–$7.00. Children 13 and older must play at least 10/12 pack–$15.00.

Free Book Festival. 10AM-2PM. Hammond Library. The Free Book Festival will have an Autumn Adventure theme featuring a canned and nonperishable food drive benefiting the Tangi Food Pantry and a free Pumpkin Decoration Station. Local nonprofits and other organizations will be in attendance providing giveaways and information items. Attendees will be provided with a free book.

Wild Things. 10AM-4PM. Southeast Louisiana Refuge Complex.  Wild Things welcomes wildlife and conservation-oriented organizations and individuals to share displays, presentations and hands-on activities as part of this wholesome, recreational, and educational experience for the whole family. Admission, parking, tours and music are all free.

After the Fall Storytime. 11AM. Barnes and Noble. Humpty Dumpty is an avid bird watcher whose favorite place to be is high up on the city wall — that is, until after his famous fall. Now terrified of heights, Humpty can no longer do many of the things he loves most. Will he summon the courage to face his fear? Find out at Storytime, with activities to follow.
