Storytime for All Ages. 10:30AM. Abita Springs Library. Books, stories, rhymes, activities and music for young children of all ages and their grown ups. Please note that food may be used as a craft material. Please call the branch for details. Please inform the librarian of any food allergies at least one week in advance. We are happy to make accommodations for you.

Indy Teen Club. 4PM. Independence Branch of the Tangi Library. Teens 12-17 yrs. old are invited to join us for activities, games, and snacks relating to all the most popular young adult media.

Bingo. 6:30PM Abita Springs Town Hall. All ages welcome. Six and under need not play. Children 6-12 must play at least a 6/10 pack–$7.00. Children 13 and older must play at least 10/12 pack–$15.00.

Model Toy and Train Show. 9AM-3PM. First Baptist Church Gymnasium, Ponchatoula. Operating train layouts, kid contests, and dealers. Fun for the whole family. Admission $5/person. Kids 6 and under get in free.

Regional Spelling Bee. 10AM-2PM. Kiva Room. Southeastern Louisiana University. Contestants from 18 different parishes compete for a chance to attend the National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C.

Sleepless in NOLA. 10AM-11:30PM. Covington Branch of the St. Tamm Library. Parents, with children ages four and younger, who are having trouble getting a full night’s sleep are invited to attend Dr. Nilong Vyas’ presentation. Dr. Vyas is a board certified sleep consultant that works with parents whose children are not sleeping through the night by offering a personalized sleep plan that they can put into practice within one weekend. Registration recommended. 

What a Wonderful World Storytime. 11AM. Barnes and Noble Mandeville. First recorded in 1967 by Louis Armstrong, “What a Wonderful World” is a poignant message of hope for people everywhere. With bright, beautiful art, this book is perfect for sharing!

Krewe of Erin St. Patrick’s Day Parade. 10:30AM. Hwy 22 and East Pine Street, Ponchatoula.

Wii Saturday for All Ages. 1-2PM. Ponchatoula Branch of the Tangi Library. Visit the library and enjoy playing video games on the big screen television! All ages are welcome!!!

Wii Game Day. 1-2PM. Amite Branch of the Tangi Library. Join us for Wii games!

Baila! A Latin American Dance Celebration. 1-2PM. Ponchatoula Branch of the Tangi Library. oin us for a dance demonstration of Latin & Hispanic dances by the Javier Juarez Dance company! This event is open to the whole family.

Dew Drop Spring Concert: Lena Prima and Band. 6:30-9PM. Dew Drop Dance and Social Hall, old Mandeville. Admission to each concert is $10/person, payable at the door. No advance tickets are sold. Arrive early to secure the best seat. We do not sell out shows.
