Teen Tech Week 2016: Create it at Your Library. All day.  Celebrate Teen Tech Week at the library, where each day we will feature a different tech source available to you. Be sure you have your library card to be able to log in!

Vintage Market Days of Southeast Louisiana. 10AM-4PM. Florida Parishes Arena in Amite. Visit their website for information on pricing, vendors and more.

Storytime for All Ages. 10:30AM. Abita Springs Library. Books, stories, rhymes, activities and music for young children of all ages and their grown ups. Please note that food may be used as a craft material. Please call the branch for details. Please inform the librarian of any food allergies at least one week in advance. We are happy to make accommodations for you.

Independence Sicilian Heritage Festival. 5-11PM. Festival Square, Independence. Food, music, and spaghetti cook off.

Bingo. 6:30PM Abita Springs Town Hall. All ages welcome. Six and under need not play. Children 6-12 must play at least a 6/10 pack–$7.00. Children 13 and older must play at least 10/12 pack–$15.00.

Camellia City Farmer’s Market. 8AM-Noon. 333 Erlangner, Slidell.

Shamrock Run. 8AM. Friendship Circle, Campus of Southeastern University. Day includes a 10K, 5K, and 1 mile fun run. Registration and more information available on the Hammond Rotary website.

Mandeville Community Market. 9AM-1PM. Mandeville Trailhead.

Hammond Farmer’s Market. 9AM-3PM.

Hammond Spring Garden Day. 9AM-3PM. LSU AgCenter’s Hammond Research Station at 21549 Old Covington Highway. Admission to the event is $5 per vehicle. The event will feature kids’ activities, a plant swap, plant sale, gardening seminars, gardening and agriculture exhibits, the plant diagnostic center and concessions. Walking tours will showcase the various research projects ongoing at the station. This event is open to the public.

LEGO We Do Tween Event. 10-11AM. Covington Branch of the St. Tammany Parish Library. Explore the world of robotics using LEGO We Do. LIMIT 15 tweens ages 10 – 14, only please. Too Many Carrots Storytime. 11AM. Barnes and Noble Mandeville. When Rabbit collects too many carrots which leave him unable to sleep in his cozy burrow, other animals offer to share their homes. Will Rabbit make his way back? Join us to find out at a special Storytime featuring Too Many Carrots. Activities and coloring to follow.

McElroy Irish Dance Academy Dance Performance. 1-2PM. Folsom Branch of the St. Tamm Library. Irish Dancing is known to be a challenging and rewarding art form and sport.

Wii Saturday for All Ages. 1-2PM. Ponchatoula Branch of the Tangi Library. Visit the library and enjoy playing video games on the big screen television! All ages are welcome!!!

Wii Game Day. 1-2PM. Amite Branch of the Tangi Library. Join us for Wii games!

Real American Girls of History. 2-3PM. Causeway Branch of the St. Tammany Parish Library. Celebrate Women’s History Month as we explore the stories of real life heroines of American history! We will have a doll share, where you will meet Miss Gigi’s Samantha doll from when she was a girl. We will make our own handkerchief dolls. Your own doll is invited, but you do not need to bring one to attend. Registration is required. Please register online. Ages 5-11. Lemonade will be served. Water will also be available.

Tween Movie Matinee. 2-4PM. Slidell Branch of the St. Tammany Parish Library. Come get tech-y! Watch Disney’s Tomorrowland, make a craft and hear book talks about futuristic worlds and current technology. LIMIT 30 tweens ages 10 – 14, only please. Popcorn and lemonade will be served.
