Abita Story Time. 10:30AM. Books, stories, rhymes, activities and music for young children of all ages and their grown ups. Please note that food may be used as a craft material. Please call the branch for details. Please inform the librarian of any food allergies at least one week in advance. We are happy to make accommodations for you.

Halloween Storytime. 3PM. Barnes and Noble, Mandeville. Students and staff from Mandeville Junior High will be hosting a special Halloween Storytime to support their annual bookfair. Join us for spooky fun and mention MJHS at the registers to donate part of your purchase to this wonderful local school.

Amite Family Game Night. 4-4:45PM. Amite Branch of the Tangi Library.

Indy Teen. 4-5PM. Independence Branch of the Library. 12-17 yr. olds will enjoy book and media related crafts and games.

Slidell Food and Fun Fest. 6-11PM. St. Margaret Mary Church.

Bingo. 6:30PM Abita Springs Town Hall. All ages welcome. Six and under need not play. Children 6-12 must play at least a 6/10 pack–$7.00. Children 13 and older must play at least 10/12 pack–$15.00.

Marigny Elementary Spooktacular. 10AM-3PM. Marigny Elementary. $5 for unlimited inflatable wrist band. Food and drink available for sale.

Slidell Fall Antique Street Fair. 10AM-5PM. First, Second, and Erlanger Streets in Olde Towne Slidell. Over 200 booths of antiques, collectibles, arts, crafts, food and 3 stages of music.

Washington Parish Fair. 10AM-9PM.

Fall Festival. 10AM-4PM. Northlake Christian. Gyroscope, hay and pony rides, inflatable obstacle course and more. Tickets $1 or all-day wristband available for $15.

Boo Fest. 10AM-3PM. Lakeview Regional Hospital, Covington. Come Trick or Treat at over 60 haunted houses at Lakeview Regional Medical Center, on the Green; gates open at 9:30 a.m. for special needs families. Open to the general public at 10 a.m. All proceeds benefit children with disabilities and their families. Admission is $2.


Click Clack Boo! Storytime. 10:30AM. Barnes and Noble, Mandeville. Celebrate Halloween with Storytime and activities featuring Click, Clack, Boo!

Tootles the Turtle Tells the Truth Storytime. 11AM. Barnes and Noble, Mandeville. Tootles the Turtle is turning two! Join us for an all day Birthday Bash Bookfair featuring Lenell Melancon, an author on a mission! Her book, Tootles the Turtle Tells the Truth, captures the nature of secrecy surrounding an episode of abuse and powerlessness. Special Storytimes at 11:00AM, 2:00 and 4:00PM each followed by giveaways and activities.

Teen and Tween Wii Day. 12:30PM-1:30PM. Amite Branch of the Tangi Library. Come join us for Wii games! Ages 10+ only

Wii Saturday. 1-2PM. Ponchatoula Branch of the Library. Visit the library and enjoy playing video games on the big screen television! All ages are welcome!!!

Rhonda Valladares and the Lil Yats Adventure Books. 1PM. Rhonda Valladares, local author of the beloved ‘Lil’ Yat Adventure’ books, will be here signing copies of her books, including her latest title in the ‘Lil’ Yat’ Series! Come out and join us for lots of fun and costumed characters!

Sunset Symphony on the Lake. 4-7:30PM. Lakeshore Drive between Coffee and Caroll Streets. Come and experience the power and passion of live music performed by the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. For the third year, the Greater New Orleans Youth Orchestra (GNOYO) will open for the LPO. Relax amid Mandeville’s natural beauty of century-old oaks adorning Lake Pontchartrain, crowned with a breathtaking sunset.
