Book Signing for Images of America: Hammond. 11AM-1PM. Central Rexall, Hammond. Written by long time Hammond residents and local authors Eric Johnson and Catherine Tijerino, Images of America: Hammond, is an endearing account of Hammond’s interesting and robust history.
Indy Teen Club. 4PM. Independence Branch of the Tangi Library. Teens 12-17 yrs. old are invited to join us for activities, games, and snacks relating to all the most popular young adult media.
Bayou Builder’s Family Lego Night. 6-8PM. Children’s Discovery Center. The Bayou Builders FIRST Lego League have “built” a multitude of fun and engaging Lego challenges for children of all ages. The event is from 6pm-8pm, with a cost of $10 per person to help our local Bayou Builders fund travel to the world competition! Guests can also expect battling robots, crafts, raffle prizes, and sweet treats!

Abita Springs Farmer’s Market. Noon-4PM.
LSU Ag Center Garden Stroll. 1-4PM. 21549 Old Covington Hwy. (Hwy. 1067 just off Hwy. 190). FREE. Visitors are invited to stroll through a collection of over 500 camellias, which were planted by Hody Wilson in the 1930’s to early 1950’s when he was the station superintendent. The camellias were research trials of the varieties available at the time and a few that were bred but never named and released.
