Storywalk for All Ages. Noon-3PM. Northlake Nature Center. Featured Story: I am Invited to a Party by Mo Willems. Families can stop by anytime but should arrive by 2:30 to be able to enjoy the entire story. The StoryWalk® will take about a half hour to complete, but the afternoon could be stretched out longer as families enjoy the trails at the center. The story allows for a lot of fun participation. Families can expect to jump, pretend to swim, and recreate other antics as they walk from page to page of the story. Check back for rain date in case of inclement weather.
Bingo. 6:30PM Abita Springs Town Hall. All ages welcome. Six and under need not play. Children 6-12 must play at least a 6/10 pack–$7.00. Children 13 and older must play at least 10/12 pack–$15.00.

Mother Bruce Storytime. 11AM. Barnes and Noble. Join us for a hilarious Storytime featuring Bruce the curmudgeonly bear who likes to keep to himself. When Bruce’s goose eggs hatch, leaving him with four live goslings who are convinced he is their mother, he tries to get the geese to fly south. Will Bruce be able to rid himself of his new companions? Find out at Storytime, with activities to follow.

Camellia Garden Stroll. 1-4PM. LSUAg Center Hammond Research Station. Visitors are invited to stroll through a collection of more than 800 camellias that were planted by Hody Wilson from the 1930s to early 1950s when he was the station superintendent, and most of the varieties were research trial varieties available at the time. Also in the garden is an additional array of unreleased varieties from breeding efforts back then.
