Friday Nites on the Square. 5:30-8:30PM. Terra Bella. Featuring Sugar Bomb. Bring your lawn chairs and dancing shoes, but NO ICE CHESTS please. Food and beverage will be available for purchase. Portions of the proceeds will benefit the TerraBella Institute and James Store House Louisiana.

Sunset at the Landing Concert. 6-9PM. Columbia Street Landing (Covington).

An Evening With Author Kwame Alexander. 7-8:30PM. Slidell Library. Meet Newbery Medal Winning author Kwame Alexander! Mr. Alexander will speak about the love of reading, poetry, the craft of writing, and having a positive attitude. The recommended audience is ages 8-14, but everyone will get something out of his dynamic presentation. Mr. Alexander will be available to sign books after the presentation. Books will be for sale at the event.

Pajama Storytime Featuring Good Night, Little Blue Truck. 7PM. Barnes and Noble. A scary storm is brewing! When Little Blue Truck and his friend Toad join their other friends to seek safety from the storm, they find that it’s easy to be brave together! Attend and get a free hot apple cider or juice, plus a cookie

Halloween Spooktacular. 11AM-1PM. The Grand Theater, Slidell. Spooktacular event featuring a showing of the new animated film, The Addams Family. Doors open at 11am to enjoy all the festivities including trick-or-treating, carnival games, and face painting. The showing of The Addams Family will begin at 1pm.

Storytime and Activities Featuring A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood: The Poetry of Mr. Rogers. 11AM. Barnes and Noble. Mr. Rogers instilled in his young viewers the values of kindness, self-awareness, and self-esteem. But most of all, he taught children that they are loved, just as they are.

Trunk or Treat. 5-7PM. Spirit Professionals, Covington location. Costume Contest, games, prizes, and of course FREE Food! All are welcome!!

Movie in the Park. 6-9PM. Coquille Park. Featuring Coco. Concessions, arts & crafts, fire trucks and MORE! Activities will begin at 6:00pm and the movie will start at 7:00pm! In the case of inclement weather the movie and activiies may be moved inside to gyms 1&2.
