The Northshore Family Favorites recognize the local businesses our readers choose as their favorites. Nominate the places your family counts on, return to vote during the voting period, and see the 2027 winners when they’re announced on January 4.
2027 program dates
Nominations: September 1–18, 2026
Nominations open September 1 at 9:00 a.m. CT and close September 18 at 11:59 p.m. CT.
Voting: September 26–October 17, 2026
Winners announced: January 4, 2027 at 10:00 a.m. CST
Dates may be updated when necessary. Changes will be posted here and on the applicable nomination or voting page.
How Family Favorites works
Nominate your favorites
Choose a category and enter your nomination. You can nominate favorites in as many categories as you’d like. You do not need to verify your email to submit a nomination.
Vote
Voting opens September 26. Voters will verify their email before voting and may vote once per category each day during the voting period.
See the winners
The 2027 Northshore Family Favorites will be announced January 4, 2027. The winners page will remain available after the season ends, along with results from future years.
Who can participate?
Eligible nominees must serve families in one or more of the following areas:
- St. Tammany Parish
- Tangipahoa Parish
- Washington Parish
- Northshore-wide
