Saint Joseph’s altars are a unique cultural and religious tradition brought to New Orleans by Sicilian immigrants in the 1880s.

Open to the pubic from Noon-7:30PM
Bogalusa
Annunciation Catholic Church
March 17th and 18th.
On the 17th there will be a welcome at 6:30PM, a blessing at 7PM, rosary recitation to follow. Afterwards, wine and Italian cookies will be served. March 18th doors open at 10AM with a rosary recitation, “tupa tupa” ceremony at 10:30AM, then “feeding of the Saints” ceremony. After that, pasta, vegetables, wine, and Italian cookies will be served.
Covington

Altar Blessing at 9:30AM, Children’s procession at 10AM, 10:30AM the altar becomes open to the general public. Go plates and in-house available. Food service ends at 3PM.

I am not a Mother, My Mother and I were just looking to see where there were any St. Joseph Altar’s so we can go to them . We are New to the area and are from St . John the Baptist Catholic Church and Parish in Folsom. I would appreciate it , if you have any information for the North shore .
The two we have listed are the only two that will be happening this year on the Northshore.
