When I first heard about Kids Bowl Free I was skeptical. Very few things in life are actually free. But I tried the program and it turns out it’s for real! Kids fifteen and under can bowl two free games almost every day of the summer.
How Do I Sign Up for Kids Bowl Free?
It’s extremely simple. You sign up on the Kids Bowl Free website. You register as a parent and then you list the names of your children. After that you will be emailed weekly coupons for free bowling or you can download the app and your weekly coupons will appear there.
Where Can My Kids Bowl Free?
The closest Kids Bowl Free site is Tangi Lanes located in Hammond. There are also participating locations in Baton Rouge and Gautier, MS if you happen to live closer to those cities. You have to select your facility for your coupons.
When Can We Bowl Free
I was surprised at the wide variety of dates and time that Kids Bowl Free is available. Unlike a lot of discount programs you can actually go almost every day of the week. Kids Bowl Free is offered May 24-September 5th. Here are the times:
MONDAY Noon — 5:00pm
TUESDAY Noon — 5:00pm
WEDNESDAY Noon — 5:00pm
THURSDAY 2:00pm — 5:00pm
FRIDAY 2:00pm — 5:00pm
SATURDAY Not Available
SUNDAY Noon — 8:00pm
What Ages Can Bowl Free?
Kids Bowl Free is open to kids ages 15 and younger at Tangi Lanes. My personal recommendation, however, is that Kids Bowl Free is more fun with kids older than five. The first time I took my kids I had a bunch of tiny ones and it was anarchy.
Can I Bowl With My Kids?
Kids over fifteen and adults are more than welcome to purchase a game and bowl with their kids. They’ve also started a new program where you can purchase what’s known as a “family pass.” The family pass let’s you pay one flat fee and bowl with your kids all summer. For two adults the fee is $35 I believe. A great deal if you plan on bowling a couple of times over the summer. If you have several older kids or plan to bowl with the grandparents they also offer a $40 pass that covers four adults for the summer.
What Extras Fees are Involved?
At Tangi Lanes you will have to rent shoes in order to bowl. Unless you have your own bowling shoes of course. I will also note that there is an arcade inside Tangi Lanes and your kids are probably going to want to play. So either steel yourself to say no, or plan on that expense as well.
So there’s another fun summer hack! Take the kids bowling almost any day of the week and have a blast while not spending a ton of money. Who can argue with that?
