Organized in 1986, the Krewe of Omega rolls down the streets of Downtown Hammond as a safe and family- friendly parade. The parade features over 20 floats (10 of which are produced by Cantrell Floats), flambeaux, local marching bands, and dance teams. Krewe members will toss signature stuffed, hand decorated alligators, also known as Aligraw, along with beads and other Mardi Gras trinkets. Along the parade route local businesses sponsor Hot Spots. Catching the parade at these Hot Spots will increase your chances of catching an Aligraw. The parade starts and finishes at the SLU University Center East Parking Lot on Friday, February 10 at 6:30 P.M. www.kreweogomega.org
Parade begins and ends at SLU East lot.
