Event Type

Join us at the Northlake Nature Center this summer for StoryWalk®!

A StoryWalk® is a great way to get moving and enjoy the great outdoors. StoryWalk® is a fun, educational activity that places a children’s story (literally a book taken apart) along a popular walking route in your community. Families enjoy the story at their own pace as they walk along from one page to the next. Questions and prompts are included at the bottom of each page to encourage participation.

The StoryWalk® will take about a half-hour to complete, but the adventure could be stretched out longer as families enjoy the trails at the center.

Featured Books

6/3 Stellaluna by Janell Cannon
6/11 Waiting for Wings by Lois Ehlert
6/17 The Pigeon Needs a Bath! by Mo Willems
7/1 Over and Under the Pond by Kate Messner
7/9 Down in Louisiana by Johnette Downing

Registration is not required to attend. Library staff will not be onsite. In the case of inclement weather, this event could be canceled, so please check our website or call the phone number listed for updates.
