Since 1888, the Tangipahoa Parish Fair has provided an avenue to showcase local culture, preserve our history, promote economic development, and nurture community pride through agricultural exhibits, music, food, talent showcases, rides, and so much more!
The Tangipahoa Parish Fair embodies all aspects of our parish from the north to south end. Although much has changed throughout the years, we pride ourselves on remaining true to our roots.
By encouraging school participation, we strive to keep the Tangipahoa Parish Fair educational for all students. Students are encouraged to participate in the Parish Fair by entering our annual Spelling Bee, creating displays based on the yearly theme (From Wagon Wheels to Ferris Wheels), and asking their school directors about other ways they can get involved. For a unique learning opportunity, we invite guests to check out our Pioneer Town exhibit, where they’ll find active demonstrations about old-fashioned sawmills, gristmills, and syrup-making.
