This post is brought to you by St. Tammany Monster Mash.
It’s finally feeling fall-ish and events are filling up my calendar left and right.
One great local family event that should be a must on your fall calendar is the St. Tammany Parish Monster Mash, presented by Metairie Bank. Celebrating it’s 29th year, this fun fall festival will take place on Saturday, October 21st, 2017, from 10am to 3pm. Set in Covington’s beautiful Bogue Falaya Park, this event features fun for all ages.
Have your children wear their costumes to visit the trick or treat village, play carnival-style games, and participate in activities such as a rock wall, a super slide, an obstacle course, Zorb balls, face painting, mini horses, inflatables, and cookie decorating. There’s also my favorite spot – the craft sponsored by Home Depot, which uses your child’s handprint and becomes a precious keepsake and holiday decoration. There will be food and drinks available for purchase, and there will be live music provided by Bag of Donuts. And, if you’re looking to really spoil your little one, there’s a special, reservations only Pirate and Princess Tea. Those tickets are $35 and are available only online.
Northshore Parent is so pleased to partner with the St. Tammany Parish Hospital Parenting Center again this year to promote this fantastic community event. Tickets are available at the STPH gift shop and at the parenting center, as well as locations all around town, including Metairie Bank locations in Mandeville, Covington, and Metairie, Playville Toys, Learning Express, Hebert’s Cleaners and Braswell Drugs.
Our motto here is “Live Love Local” and we are so excited to share the love of this great local organization and super fun event, with not one but TWO sets of tickets to give away. One giveaway is below and the other one will be a flash giveaway on our Facebook page –so keep an eye out! In the meantime, check out the official page for Monster Mash here (http://www.sthfoundation.org/foundation/monstermash.htm) to find out about all the fun waiting for you. We’ll notify the winner in a week – good luck!

Hi, I'm Aimée, the Special Projects Coordinator for Northshore Parent. If there's a fun giveaway, a kids' clothing review, or a special event, there's a good chance that I'm responsible. I'm a lifelong resident of St. Tammany (except for time at LSU for undergrad and law school) and a mom to 3 little ones, ages 6, 6 (yes, they are twins, and no, they are not identical) and 2. Thanks for reading Northshore Parent and being a part of our community.
