Tip the Northshore

As we head into what feels like the eleventy-billionth week of social distancing, we’re starting to see just how long this is going to go and just how hard it is going to hit some of our families. Here at Northshore Parent we wanted to help but didn’t have a great idea of how to do it. Until we saw a website in Charlotte that was helping people send a “tip” to local servers. Inspired, we spoke with a computer engineer to helped turn our dream into a reality. Many thanks to Joshua Penton for putting his expertise to use on this project.

So here’s the deal: servers aren’t getting tipped like they used to. People are eating out less and dining rooms are closed. But we love our servers! Some of us have favorite restaurants and get used to seeing those same faces over and over again when we eat out.

So here’s how you can help them. Give a random Northshore server a “tip.” All you need is Venmo. Press the button below and we’ll provide you with a random Northshore server’s name and how you can tip them. Now is the time to thank them for working on big holidays so you can eat out, or staying open late when you’re too busy chatting with your girlfriends to notice the hour. Let them know how important they are to you and to the economy. Every time you click the button a new, random name will appear.

So. . . go tip!

I really like your idea of helping thr servers. I’m from New Orleans but I’m living in San Francisco just for now. Like most everyone I love the Northshore so I want to help them. I’ve never eaten in a restaurant there but be I’m sure they’re friendly and good so I can give at least $5. A few like that could go a long way.
