Bogalusa Blues and Heritage Festival

September 28-29th. 4-10PM on Friday; 9:30AM-10:30PM on Saturday. Cassidy Park, Bogalusa. Tickets available on their website.


St. Tammany Parish Fair

October 3rd-7th. 9AM-10PM. St. Tammany Parish Fairgrounds. Full schedule available on their website.

Tangipahoa Parish Fair

October 3rd-7th. Tangipahoa Fair Grounds, Amite. Rides run Thursday 6-9, All day Friday, All day Saturday, and Sunday 1-5. Live music on Friday and Saturday. See the full schedule of events on their website.

Southeastern University Homecoming

October 13th. Southeastern University. Events all day. Parade at noon. Game is at 4PM. See a full schedule on their website.

Wooden Boat Festival

October 13th-14th. 10AM-9PM. Tickets $10/person. $5/65 and up. Children under 12 free. Free with military ID. See a full schedule of entertainment on their website.

Wild Things

October 13th. 10AM-4PM. Southeast Louisiana Refuge Complex.  Wild Things welcomes wildlife and conservation-oriented organizations and individuals to share displays, presentations and hands-on activities as part of this wholesome, recreational, and educational experience for the whole family. Admission, parking, tours and music are all free.

Fall for Art

October 13th. 6-9PM. Downtown Covington. The event showcases new work by dozens of artists from around the Southeast and live music at various locations indoors and out. With art show openings at over 50 galleries and cafes, plus art demonstrations, kids’ activities, boutique shopping, and fine dining

Festival of the Lake

October 19th, 20th, and 21st. 5PM-11PM Friday, 11AM-10PM Saturday, and 11AM-5PM Sunday. Our Lady of the Lake Church, Mandeville. Festival features live music, food, games, and more. Visit their website for full schedule and more information. 

Abita Water Festival

October 21st. Abita Springs Trailhead.

Washington Parish Fair

October 17th-20th. Washington Parish Fair Grounds. 10AM-9PM. The largest free fair in the country. A variety of live music, carnival rides, exhibits, and a rodeo. This event is so large it’s hard to capture it in just a few sentences. Please visit their website for all the details.

Slidell Food and Fun Fest

October 19th, 21st, and 22nd. 6-11PM. St. Margaret Mary Church.

Slidell Fall Antique Street Fair

October 27th and 28th. 10AM-5PM. First, Second, and Erlanger Streets in Olde Towne Slidell. Over 200 booths of antiques, collectibles, arts, crafts, food and live music.

Holy Ghost Parish Fair

October 26th-28th. 5-10PM. Holy Ghost Campus, Hammond.

Mandeville Elementary Adventure Fest

November 10th. 9AM-2PM. Mandeville Elementary.

Louisiana Renaissance Festival

Pontchartrain Film Festival

Three Rivers Art Festival

November 10th and 11th. 10AM-5PM. Downtown Covington, Columbia Street. A juried show of original works with nearly 200 artists from more than 22 states. Music. Food. And lots of activities just for kids. FREE.

  1. Hi Katy, thank you for including the Pontchartrain Film Festival on your site. I wanted to let you know that the Friday night showing will now be held outdoors in the Mandeville Trailhead Amphitheater and is Free. We will be showing “Dancing in the Water” about one man’s swim across Lake Pontchartrain. Saturday is in the depot and tickets are $5 as you have listed. Thanks again!
