There’s no time quite like the holidays and these days the holidays seem to start as soon as Halloween has ended! No worries–we have a complete list of holiday activities happening in our area. Fun After Four: Ornament Decorating. 3:30-5PM. Slidell Library. Stop by to decorate a beaded snowflake ornament! We’ll eat cookies and watch The Grinch (PG). Ages 5-1.

Here Comes Santa Claus! 10:30-11:30AM. Madisonville Library. Children of all ages are welcome to join us from 10:30-11:30 am for a Christmas story, to take a picture with Santa, and to enjoy Santa’s favorite treat! Please bring your own camera. Candy canes and cookies will be served. Please call the branch for details.

Here Comes Santa Claus! 10:30-11:30AM. Lee Road Library. Listen to a Christmas Story, sing Christmas carols, make a holiday craft, and get your picture taken with Santa! All ages welcome. Christmas Under the Stars. 6-9PM. Griffith Park, Olde Towne Slidell. This event features visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus, festive music, a life-size Christmas Village, Slidell’s Nativity, the Parade of Trees, plus more holiday surprises for kids of all ages. Admission is free. x

Christmas Extravaganza Arts and Crafts Event. 10AM-5PM. St. Tammany parish Fair Grounds. Featuring more than 500 artists from the multi-state area. $5 for adults. Children 12 and under get in free. x

20th Annual Holiday of Lights. 6-8:30PM. Kids Konnection playground at Koop Drive, Mandeville. x

December 7th, 2019

61st Annual Rotary Club of Hammond Christmas Parade. 5:30PM This year’s theme is “I’ll Be Home For Christmas.” See information about the route and how to participate in the parade on the Rotary’s website.

  2. All the taxes we pay in st Tammany parish you would think they could put aside some money for Christmas lights at the trailhead on Koop dr. Shame on the president of this parish .Maybe if they went to a few less lunches the kids could of seen some light displays this year
